CAMP ALEJO SANTOS — The Bulacan police arrested 34 law offenders in intensified anti-criminality operations on Tuesday (Feb. 18). Among those apprehended were 20 drug suspects, including two violators of the Omnibus Election Code and 12 wanted individuals.
Authorities also confiscated 32 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated drug price valued at P104,896.00, along with assorted paraphernalia, an improvised shotgun (sumpak) with 12-gauge shotgun ammunition, 1 caliber .38 revolver with serial number FEU 1195 loaded with one live ammunition, 1 Colt MK IV Series 80 caliber .45 pistol with serial number 293499 loaded with one live ammunition, and buy-bust money.
According to the reports submitted to Col. Satur Ediong, Provincial Director of Bulacan PPO, different buy-bust operations were conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of San Jose Del Monte, Malolos, and Meycauayan CPS, Pandi, San Miguel, Paombong, Angat, and San Rafael MPS.
The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for appropriate examination. While criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 and RA 10591, in relation to the Omnibus Election Code against the suspect, are now being prepared for filing in court.
Meanwhile, the DRT MPS successfully implemented a search warrant that led to the arrest of a 57-year-old male, a resident of Sitio Proper, Brgy. Camachin, Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan, at around 6 a.m. The operation resulted in the confiscation of one Colt MK IV Series 80 caliber .45 pistol with serial number 293499, one magazine with one live round of ammunition. The arrested individual is now under the custody of DRT MPS, with appropriate charges for violation of R.A. 10591 is being prepared for filing in court.
Moreover, a well-coordinated gun buy-bust operation conducted by the Marilao MPS resulted in the arrest of a 42-year-old male suspect, a resident of Northville 4, Brgy. Lambakin, Marilao, Bulacan. During the transaction, the suspect handed over one caliber .38 revolver loaded with a live round of ammunition to the poseur buyer in exchange for marked money, which led to the arrest of the suspect in Brgy. Lambakin, Marilao, Bulacan, on Wednesday (Feb. 19).
Confiscated from the arrested suspect were one caliber .38 revolver with serial number FEU 1195, one caliber .38 live ammunition, and buy-bust money. A criminal complaint for violation of R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in relation to the Omnibus Election Code is being prepared for filing before the Bulacan Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
Furthermore, a series of intensified manhunt operations conducted by tracker teams from Malolos, San Jose Del Monte, and Baliwag CPS, Bulacan 1st and 2nd PMFC’s, Hagonoy, and Bustos MPS resulted in the arrest of 12 wanted individuals by virtue of Warrants of Arrest. The arrested accused are presently under the custody of the arresting unit/station for proper disposition.
The Bulacan PNP, under the leadership of Col. Ediong, remains steadfast in its efforts to apprehend wanted persons, combat illegal drugs, and curb the proliferation of loose firearms.
These proactive measures align with the directive of Brig. Gen. Jean s. Fajardo, PRO 3 regional director, and form part of the continuous initiatives to ensure public safety, particularly in preparation for the upcoming 2025 midterm elections in Bulacan. (UnliNews Online)
