Over 2k police deployed in Bulacan for May 12 polls

CITY OF MALOLOS — More than 2,000 PNP personnel have been deployed across the province of Bulacan to ensure public safety during the national and local elections on May 12, according to Col. Franklin P. Estoro, Officer-in-Charge of Bulacan PPO.

Col. Estoro said the deployment was marked by a send-off ceremony on Sunday (May 4). These more than 2K personnel will work closely with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to maintain peace and order during election day.

“We aim to ensure a safe and fair election,” Col. Estoro said, emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts.

According to P/Major Jaynalyn A. Udal, BulPPO information officer, a total of 2,300 police personnel will be stationed at various voting precincts—2,062 from the PNP Bulacan and 238 augmented from other units like Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3.

Col. Estoro also reminded all personnel to maintain discipline, uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, and remain apolitical in the performance of their election-related duties.

The Bulacan PPO continues to stand firm in its commitment to ensure orderly, honest, and peaceful elections in the province. (UnliNews Online)
