CITY OF MALOLOS — The Province of Bulacan harvested multiple awards in the recently concluded 50th Gawad Saka awarding ceremony held at Travelers Hotel, Subic, Zambales recently.
Provincial Agriculture Office Head Ma. Gloria SF. Carrillo and Provincial Veterinary Office Head Dr. Voltaire G. Basinang received the plaque of recognition and ceremonial cheque of the Provincial Government of Bulacan worth P50,000 as it was awarded with the Outstanding Provincial Local Government Unit award.
Department of Agriculture Undersecretary for Operations and Agri Fisheries Mechanization Roger V. Navarro congratulated the awardees and saluted the agricultural and fisheries workers whose dedication and talents seed the future of a united and thriving nation.
“While the Department of Agriculture encourages partnership in nation building and food security, we know fully well that national progress begins with individual achievements, and these we celebrate today. Individual achievement is the cornerstone in which innovation, hard work, and dedication are purged into the national economy. It is the spark that ignites progress on the national scale, converting personal dedication into a collective march towards shared goals,” the undersecretary said.
Other awardees from the province include Rodrigo Aquino, Jr. from Doña Remedios Trinidad as the Outstanding High-Value Crop Farmer-Plantation Crops; Bausa Intergrated Farm and Training Center Inc. from San Ildefonso as the Outstanding Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture Garden (Macrogarden); Luzon Dairy Cooperative from Santa Maria as Outstanding Dairy Cattle Raiser; Danilo Dionisio from Paombong as the Outstanding Fisherfolk (Aquaculture); and City Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council of Malolos as the Outstanding City/Municipal Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council.
