CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Authorities arrest a newly identified high-value drug target in a buy-bust operation in Balagtas, Bulacan, on Tuesday morning (July 1), yielding P686,800 worth of suspected shabu.
The buy-bust operation was carried out around 2 a.m. along Dalig Road, Barangay Borol 2nd, by operatives from the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 3 (RPDEU3).
The operation was supported by the Regional Special Operations Group 3 (RSOG3) along with the Balagtas Municipal Police Station and the Provincial Intelligence Unit of Bulacan PPO.
Arrested during the sting was alias “Omar,” 36 years old, a resident of Barangay Panginay, Balagtas. Authorities recovered 101 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price (SDP) of P686,800. Also seized were drug paraphernalia including a digital weighing scale, lighter, marked money, sachets, and an Android phone.
Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Regional Director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Ibasco Peñones Jr., commended the swift and precise execution of the operation, reaffirming the regional police’s unyielding stand against illegal drugs.
“This is another significant breakthrough in our relentless anti-illegal drugs campaign. Our message is clear: there is no safe haven for drug personalities in Central Luzon. We will continue hitting hard and staying focused,” Peñones Jr stated.
He emphasized that PRO3 remains fully committed to supporting the government’s intensified drug-clearing efforts through proactive and intelligence-driven law enforcement actions.
The suspect is currently under custody and will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165). (UnliNews Online)
