FREE LAW STUDY FOR PANDI LGU EMPLOYEES

PANDI, Bulacan — A Memorandum of Agreement was formally signed between Baliuag University and the Pandi Municipal Government, led by Mayor Rico Roque, together with Dean Atty. Buko Dela Cruz and Dr. Patricia B. Lagunda, President of Baliuag University, to provide free law studies for all employees in the Pandi local government.

Under this agreement, the local government will bear all expenses for the Juris Doctor (JD) program of qualified LGU–Pandi employees including tuition fees, miscellaneous, academic-related fees and allowances and other support.

According to Mayor Rico Roque, the goal of the program is to provide employees with the opportunity to study law without financial constraints, in order to serve better and more competently every citizen of Pandi.

For Engracia Mauricio, a municipal employee, they are very grateful for such programs for LGU employees like him.

“Mayor Roque doesn’t want us to stand still, he wants us to develop more professionally and increase our knowledge related to providing public services,” he said.

If Evelyn Martin, the current Public Market Administrator in the town of Pandi, were asked, she said it would give them more confidence and inspiration because of the support given to them by the local government.

“The help to us is greater, we are very inspired. Thank you very much for such initiatives because the benefits are not only for us but also for the entire town.” (UnliNews Online)
