AUTHORITIES have confirmed the death of former DPWH Undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral after an alleged fall.
Her body was found 20–30 meters below Kennon Road along the Bued River in Tuba, Benguet, on Thursday evening (Dec 18). She was pronounced dead at 12:03 a.m. on Friday.
Initial reports say Cabral was last seen by her driver earlier that afternoon when she asked to stop in the Maramal area of Camp 5, near Camp 4, and requested to be left there. Her driver returned later and, unable to find her, sought police assistance.
Authorities are investigating the cause of her death.
Her remains were recovered at 12:30 a.m. on Kennon Road.
