CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. visited this Thursday a public elementary school in this city that implements the government’s Yaman ng Kalusugan (YAKAP) program to protect the health of students and teachers.
President Marcos was accompanied by Education Secretary Sonny Angara during the visit to Minuyan Elementary School to inspect the implementation of the program.
The President also took time to interact and talk with teachers and students during the visit.
President Marcos emphasized the government’s continued commitment to supporting teachers and students not only in terms of career advancement, but also in their overall well-being.
Currently, the YAKAP health program caravan is serving beneficiaries from Minuyan Elementary School, which has a total of 3,085 students.
According to the Department of Education, Minuyan Elementary School is one of 59 public schools in San Jose del Monte, which also has 105 private schools.
In total, there are 10,160 kindergarten pupils, 66,726 elementary students, 38,571 junior high school students, and 7,333 senior high school students in the city.
The city has 4,239 teachers, 157 teaching-related staff, and 348 non-teaching personnel.
