CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. commended the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) for its initiatives that advance the education sector in the province. This was after Gov. Daniel Fernando shared some of the education-related programs that the PGB had implemented under his administration as provincial governor.
The governor also highlighted the PGB-funded Bulacan Polytechnic College’s excellent track record, particularly its recent 80.49% passing rate in the September and November 2025 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers, where 33 out of 41 examinees successfully aced the test.
And at the end of the day, technology will evolve, the system may change—but the heart of education will always be the teachers,” he added.
Meanwhile, President Marcos Jr. presided over the mass oath-taking ceremony for newly promoted teachers and school heads in the provinces of Bulacan and Pampanga through the Expanded Career Progression system, at the City of San Jose Del Monte Sports Complex, promising the education sector that no teacher in the country will retire as Teacher I only.
A total of 1,991 promoted and reclassified personnel from the schools division offices (SDO) of Angeles City, Baliwag City, Bulacan, San Fernando City, Mabalacat City, Malolos City, Meycauayan City, Pampanga, and San Jose Del Monte City were promoted through the nationwide implementation of the Republic Act No. 12288, or the Career Progression for Public School Teachers and School Leaders Act. The said SDOs in the province recorded more than 800 promotions.
Department of Education Secretary Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara said this oath-taking in Central Luzon was the third mass promotion for teachers this year, with Ilocos Region’s educators being the first to be sworn into higher positions last January (789 teachers), and followed by the National Capital Region in the same month (2,915 teachers).
(UnliNews Online)
