CITY OF MALOLOS — The SM Foundation recently held a medical and dental mission at SM City Marilao, where at least 982 Bulacan residents received free medical care, bringing together volunteer physicians, health workers, and other medical professionals in one venue.
The mission provided a variety of services to increase access to healthcare, including blood pressure monitoring, basic laboratory testing like uric acid, cholesterol, hemoglobin, blood sugar screening, bone scan, ENT and eye examination, as well as medical and dental consultations and operations. Additionally, the SM Foundation Mobile Clinic offered free diagnostic services to patients, such as X-ray and electrocardiogram (ECG) exams.

Thousands of free medicines and other health supplements were also given during the medical and dental mission.
This year, SM Foundation’s project and volunteer partners include the Philippine National Red Cross—Bulacan Chapter as well as the Municipal Government and Municipal Health Offices of Marilao.

SM Foundation’s Gamot Para Sa Kapwa Medical and Dental Mission is the socio civic arm of the SM Group of Companies that aims to provide ancillary services to communities that have limited access to medical services. It also aims to provide immediate dental benefits to economically disadvantaged patients within the malls’ vicinities. (UnliNews Online)
