CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — SM Malls in Baliwag, Marilao, and Pulilan reaffirm their commitment to mall-goers’ safety and security during their annual Joint Tactical Inspection and General Assembly of Troops.
The event, organized by the Customer Relations Services (CRS) Department and the Security Force, took place in the open parking lot of SM City Baliwag.
The Joint Tactical Inspection (JTI) evaluates the administrative efficiency, training management, operational competency, and emergency response capacities of security personnel assigned to SM Supermalls, SM Retail Group, and their affiliates. The process guarantees that the highest safety standards are met for consumers, employees, and tenants.

Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) Deputy Provincial Director for Administration PLTCOL Allan B. Palomo, representative of Provincial Director PCOL Angel L. Garcillano, led the inspection together with SM Head of Security Affairs, Mr. Almus J. Alabe. Both highlighted the value of discipline, alertness, and awareness in protecting mall visitors and responding successfully to crises and emergencies.
Key SM executives attended the event, including Mr. Victor G. Santiago, AVP for Customer Relations Services of the Food Retail Group; Mr. Charleston M. Tan, SAVP for Customer Relations Services of SM Retail; and Mr. Rafael T. Tejada, Division Head—SAVP for Customer Relations Services of Shopping Center Management Corporation. Joining honors were Engr. Bien C. Mateo, Division Head—SVP for OP Special Projects; Ms. Johanna Melissa N. Rupisan, Divison Head— VP for Mall Operations; Ms. Ana T. Datu, Regional Operations Head—AVP for Mall Operations; and Mr. Ronald C. Pulumbarit, Regional Customer Relations Head.
As part of the initiative, various security and agency staff were rewarded with commendations for their honesty and integrity, notably in returning costly items recovered within the mall to its proper owners.
The Joint Tactical Inspection is an annual exercise done throughout all SM Supermalls countrywide to assess personnel compliance with the company’s security standards and rules as well as to reinforce the security team’s readiness and professionalism. (UnliNews Online)
