Police separate manhunt ops net 5 MWPs

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga —  Five individuals tagged as Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) were arrested  in separate police manhunt operations in Central Luzon in the last two days.

Reports reaching Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., regional police director for Central Luzon, said on Thursday (Apriul 13) two MWPs were arrested in Zambales, one each in Pampanga, Bataan and Bulacan.

Arrested in Zambales were Rommel Cereso who was arrested in Barangay Barretto, Olongapo City for three counts of robbery iunder Criminal Case nos. 2023-306, 2023-307, and 2023-308 issued by Hon. Melani Fay Tadili, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 97, Olongapo City dated March 9, 2023 with a total recommended bail of P120,000.

While Jerald Ragasa was arrested in Barangay Pamatawan, Subic for frustrated murder under Criminal Case no. 2022-461FC  issued by Hon. Gemma Theresa Hilario-Logronio, Presiding Judge, Family Court, Branch 12, Olongapo City dated September 29, 2022 with P200,000 recommended bail.

In Pampanga, operatives of the Apalit Police Station arrested Ryan Paul Gonzales in  Barangay San Juan  on April 12,  for violation of Section5(b) RA 7610 and two counts for violation of Section 10(a) RA 7610 docketed under Criminal Case no. 23-9060(M), 23-9062(M), and 23-9063(M) issued by Hon. Katherine Legarda Pajaron, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 54, Macabebe, Pampanga with a total recommended bail of 560,000.

Meanwhile, the Orani Police Station in Bataan together with other concerned police units conducted a manhunt operation in Barangay Tenejero, Balanga City that  resulted in the arrest of James Mark Parino  for violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 under Criminal Case no. 23445 issued by Hon. Marion Jacqueline Poblete,  Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 3, Balanga City, Bataan dated March 6, 2023 with P200,000 recommended bail.

And in Bulacan, police operatives of the Meycauayan Police Station together  with other police units conducted a joint operation in Barangay Camalig, Meycauayan City, that resulted in the arrest of Bernard Lagco for Carnapping under Criminal Case no. 1759-M-2023 issued by Hon. Elenita Macatangay-Alviar, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 12, Malolos City, Bulacan dated March 31, 2023 with recommended bail of P300,000.

“The PNP will persist in its heightened effort to find and capture all individuals who are wanted by the law in order to secure a safer place for the general public,” Brig. General Hidalgo added. (UnliNews Online)
