CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — Two male drug peddlers were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bulacan Provincial Office in a buy-bust operation conducted inside a popular fast-food chain on Saturday afternoon Barangay 72 in Caloocan City.
The drug sting resulted in the confiscation of some P680,000.00 worth of shabu
The PDEA Bulacan Provincial Office identified the arrested suspects as alias “Alex,” 34 years old; and alias “Den-Den,” 34.
Operating teams recovered two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing roughly 100 grams worth P680,000.00, and the marked money used by the undercover PDEA agent.
Confiscated illegal drugs will undergo forensic examination at PDEA RO3 laboratory while apprehended suspects will be temporarily detained at the agency’s jail facility in City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
PDEA National Capital Region-Northern District Office and PNP Drug Enforcement Group also participated in the operation.
Charges for a non-bailable offense under Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) in relation to section 26B (Conspiracy to Sell), of Republic Act 9165 are now being readied for filing in court. Section 5 carries a penalty of Life Imprisonment and fine ranging from P500,000 to 10 million pesos. (UnliNews Online)
