Go Asenso Negosyo Caravan boosts Bulakenyo entrepreneurs in Guiguinto

CITY OF MALOLOS – Micro and small entrepreneurs (MSEs) in Guiguinto, Bulacan secured wider access to business support and crucial opportunities through the ‘Go Asenso Negosyo Caravan spearheaded by the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) at the Guiguinto Municipal Athletic and Cultural Center last Wednesday (Oct. 1).

The initiative delivered a robust slate of business support services, ranging from marketing and promotion via the Bulacan Pasalubong Center to product development support from the Bulacan Packaging Service and Toll Packing Center. It also provided essential financial assistance through the Bayanihang Bulakenyo Financing Program and offered guidance on establishing and strengthening cooperatives.

Hands-on workshops and demonstrations in traditional and creative arts were also featured wherein Experts from Ideas and Koncepts Pot Manufacturing and Punique Handicrafts led sessions on Puni making, macramé, beadwork, and painting. A mini bazaar and trade fair concurrently showcased local products, providing Guiguinto entrepreneurs with immediate market exposure.

Key government agencies participated and presented their MSE Development Programs and Projects. These partners—including the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Information and Communications Technology, and local government units—broadened the range of services available. Private partners like PLDT and GCash also extended critical support.

Owen Modequillo of PCEDO guided the activity’s free packaging and labeling consultations, which helped entrepreneurs substantially enhance their products’ marketability. Furthermore, skills training and capacity-building sessions equipped participants with practical knowledge essential for business expansion.

The program’s tangible impact was highlighted by members of the Likhang Bulakenyo Entrepreneurs Association, Inc. who shared compelling testimonials on how PCEDO’s interventions successfully strengthened their businesses and expanded their market reach. (UnliNews Online)
