SM Book Nook initiative generates 2,909 donated books, benefits libraries in Bulacan

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — SM City Marilao, SM City Baliwag, and SM Center Pulilan inspire brighter, more empowered futures across communities in Bulacan as the malls turned over at least 2,909 pre-loved books to partner institutions in the province through their Book Donation Drive.

Started on July 7, 2025, the Book Donation Drive is under SM Supermalls’ flagship
literacy program, SM Book Nook. The initiative encourages mallgoers, tenants, partners, and communities to donate quality books that will benefit children, families, and readers from all walks of life.

Turning vision into reality, SM malls in Marilao, Baliwag, and Pulilan led the distribution of donated books in Bulacan.

SM City Marilao volunteers turned over a total of 1,670 books to Bulacan Provincial
Library. SM City Baliwag, on the other hand, collected 623 books and handed them over
to Aklatang Bayan ng Bustos, while SM Center Pulilan allocated a total of 616 books to Plaridel Municipal Library.

Beyond donations, the campaign also highlights SM Cares’ long-term vision to make every SM mall a hub for inclusive learning, community engagement, and shared hope-especially for young readers and future leaders.

Through this collective effort, SM aims to nurture a culture of learning, promote literacy, and inspire future generations-one story, one reader, and one community at a time. (UnliNews Online)
