CITY OF MALOLOS — As February unfolds, the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office joins the National Commission for Culture and the Arts in celebrating the National Arts Month 2026 under the theme “Ani ng Sining: Katotohanan at Giting”.
This year’s celebration in Bulacan will highlight the arts as a powerful expression of truth, courage, and the enduring identity of the Bulakenyos.
Among the featured programs for the whole month are Bulacan Reimagined: “Samu’t Saring Likha mula sa Isip at Puso ng mga Bulakenyo”, an art exhibition that presents diverse works of Bulacan-based artists inspired by their imagination and interpretations of Bulacan’s vibrant culture and heritage; Sining sa Hardin: Bulacan Art in the Park, a 3-day festival of creativity, culture, and community that will feature local artists, art groups, and live performances; 7th SINEliksik Bulacan Docufest: Habag ng Kasaysayan: Ang Pamanang Kaluto ng Bulacan; Harana sa Hardin.
These initiatives will reaffirm PGB’s commitment to advancing arts and culture as a vital force in preserving cultural heritage, strengthening community pride, and inspiring future generations.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando emphasized the importance of arts and culture to strengthen Bulacan’s identity and unity.
“Isang magandang plataporma ang Buwan ng Sining upang mas makilala pa ang pagkamalikhain at angking talento ng mga artistang Bulakenyo. Patuloy lang po ang Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa pagbibigay suporta sa mga programang nagtataguyod ng sining at kultura sa ating lalawigan,” the governor said.
Meanwhile, PHACTO OIC Department Head May Arlene DG. Torres invites the Bulakenyos to participate and indulge themselves with the various art programs, exhibitions, and cultural activities lined up for the Arts Month.
“Inaanyayahan ko po ang bawat isa na makiisa at saksihan ang iba’t ibang programa na aming inihanda sa ating pagdiriwang ng Pambansang Buwan ng Sining,” Torres said.
The celebration of National Arts Month is in accordance with the Presidential Proclamation No. 683 where the celebration is observed annually to promote the nation’s rich cultural heritage and recognize the creativity and artistic excellence of Filipino artists. (UnliNews Online)
