CITY OF MALOLOS — SM City Marilao attracted a large number of jobseekers during the recent job fair held in time for Labor Day on May 1.
The job fair, which was organized in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO), and the Municipal PESO unit of Marilao, with the support of the local government of Marilao, generated a total of 2,054 job openings.
Through the said initiative, SM Supermalls, together with the partner government agencies, continue to bring meaningful career opportunities closer to communities by bringing employers and applicants together in one venue. A total of 37 companies, a combination of local and overseas, participated in the job fair, providing positions across different industries, including openings within SM Supermalls.

Out of 813 applicants, at least 114 were hired on the spot, while many others advanced to final interviews and further screening.
Applicants also benefited from the One-Stop Shop, where they were able to process employment-related requirements from agencies such as the Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG Fund, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
The recent job fair is one of the many ways SM Supermalls contributes to nation-building by supporting both national and local government initiatives aimed at generating employment opportunities for Filipinos.
