SM Bulacan malls unite in celebrating National Flag Day

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — SM malls in Marilao, Baliwag, and Pulilan join the nation in the observance of the National Flag Day on Thursday (May 28).

To mark the occasion, flag-raising ceremonies that displayed a clean Philippine flag were held across SM Bulacan malls in an effort to instill a deeper sense of nationalism among employees, agency personnel, affiliates, and tenants.

The National Flag Day commemorates the first unfurling of the Philippine flag during the historic “Battle of Alapan” in Cavite, on May 28, 1898.

The celebration also signals the unveiling of activities lined up for Independence Day on June 12. Aside from the vibrant display of the Philippine flag’s symbolic colors throughout the malls, SM City Marilao, SM Center Pulilan, and SM City Baliwag will mount activations highlighting Filipino pride and craftsmanship, such as the Pinoy Vibe Spots, the Sari-Sari Bazaar featuring local MSMEs, and the Pinoy Cosplay Parade.
