CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — In a series of decisive anti-illegal drug operations, police operatives in Bataan and Bulacan apprehended 5 high-value individuals and seized nearly half a million pesos worth of illegal drugs.
Based on the report to Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo, PRO3 regional director, on Thursday (March 20) at around 4:15 a.m., joint operatives from the Orion Municipal Police Station and the Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit-Bataan PPO conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Orion, Bataan.
The operation resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old suspect, identified only as alias “John,” who was caught selling a heat-sealed plastic sachet containing shabu.
A subsequent protective search led to the discovery of a large knot-tied plastic bag, two medium heat-sealed sachets containing shabu, and the marked money used in the transaction. The confiscated drugs weighed a total of 60 grams, with a Standard Drug Price of P408,000.00.
Later that day, at around 8:30 p.m., another significant anti-illegal drug operation was carried out by personnel from the San Jose Del Monte City Police Station in Barangay Muzon South, City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.
The operation, conducted on the third floor of a building, led to the arrest of four individuals identified as alias “Jay,” 23 years old; alias “Mark,” 23 years old; alias “Vince,” 22 years old; and alias “Neris,” 25 years old. All are residents of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.
During the operation, authorities seized 1,500 grams of suspected marijuana valued at P300,000.00, along with five grams of suspected shabu worth P34,000.00. Also confiscated were a pack of rolled dried marijuana, a transparent plastic container with suspected dried marijuana, a glass container with suspected kush, five heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected marijuana, one brick of suspected dried marijuana, and various drug paraphernalia.
Fajardo, commended the operatives for their relentless efforts in the campaign against illegal drugs. She emphasized that these operations reflect the commitment of Police Regional Office 3 to combat drug-related crimes and dismantle networks that pose a threat to public safety.
“These successful operations highlight our dedication to keeping Central Luzon free from the scourge of illegal drugs. Through strategic, intelligence-driven, and coordinated efforts, we will continue to go after high-value individuals involved in the drug trade. Our personnel remain steadfast in executing these operations with precision and in full adherence to the law,” she stated.
The arrested individuals and the confiscated illegal substances are now under police custody, with appropriate charges set to be filed.
