CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has once again delivered a decisive blow against illegal drugs, arresting multiple High-Value Individuals (HVIs) and seizing over P8 million worth of illicit substances in a series of high-impact operations over the weekend.
On Sunday afternoon (March 23) a joint anti-illegal drug operation led by the Station Drug Enforcement Units (SDEU) of Police Stations 4 and 6, the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit (ACDEU), and the City Intelligence Unit (CIU) resulted in the arrest of alias “Usup”, 36, a listed HVI from Barangay Lourdes Northwest, and alias “Tobats”, 31, from Barangay Lourdes Sur.

Authorities confiscated 1,043.01 grams of suspected shabu valued at P7,092,468.00, along with a caliber .45 Norinco pistol, a suppressor/silencer, live ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and a Toyota Wigo used in their illegal activities. The buy-bust money, consisting of marked bills and boodle money, was also seized.
The operation stemmed from intelligence gathered by the CIU, ACPO, which linked Jonah Francia to drug distribution and robbery-holdup incidents targeting Korean nationals in Barangays Anunas, Balibago, and Pampang.
A day earlier, on March 22, 2025, the Bulacan PPO executed a series of anti-illegal drug operations, resulting in the arrest of five HVIs and the confiscation of 120 grams of suspected shabu worth P816,000.00.
At 12:40 AM, personnel from the Meycauayan City Police Station’s CDEU arrested alias “Pao”, 41, a call center agent, and alias “Jokjok”, 42, a mechanic, in Barangay Lawa, Meycauayan City. They were caught with 54 grams of shabu valued at P367,200.00.
Shortly after, at 1:30 a.m., San Jose Del Monte City Police Station (SJDM CPS) operatives apprehended alias “Jules”, 39, and alias “Rey”, 40, in Barangay Bagong Buhay 1. Seized from them were 51 grams of shabu worth P346,800.00.
Later that evening, at 8 p.m., a joint buy-bust by CDEU-SJDM CPS and PIU-Bulacan PPO in Barangay Graceville, SJDM, led to the arrest of alias “Dondon”, 41, a known member of the “Mangoda Group” involved in gun-for-hire and drug operations. Recovered from him were 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000.00 and a caliber .45 pistol.
PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo lauded the operatives for their relentless pursuit of drug syndicates, emphasizing that their dedication extends beyond regular duty hours.
“These operations prove that our fight against illegal drugs knows no time off. Whether weekday or weekend, our personnel remain steadfast in ensuring that Central Luzon remains safe and drug-free,” PBGEN Fajardo stated.
She reaffirmed PRO3’s steadfast commitment to eliminating illegal drugs and criminality, assuring the public that the campaign will continue with full force and without letup. (UnliNews Online)
