Accomplice in Dominic Sytin murder plead guilty before Manila court

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The accomplice in the murder of businessman Dominic Sytin in 2018 pleaded guilty before a court and identified the victim’s brother Alan Dennis as the mastermind behind the killing.

Rementilla was presented before the Regional Trial Court Branch 7, Manila, on (Thursday), for arraignment. During the proceedings, he admitted to his involvement in the killing of Dominic Sytin, further solidifying the case against Alan Dennis Sytin. Following the court hearing, Rementilla was committed to the Manila City Jail pursuant to the court’s order.

Meanwhile, efforts to bring Alan Dennis Sytin back to the country are progressing, as the Philippine Embassy in Malaysia is currently processing the necessary travel documents for his repatriation. Sytin was apprehended in Malaysia on March 22, 2025, through the collaborative efforts of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), the Office of the Police Attaché (OPA) in Malaysia, and the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP).

PRO3 Regional Director, PBGEN Jean S. Fajardo, reaffirmed the police force’s commitment to ensuring that all those involved in the crime are held accountable.

“This latest development underscores our dedication to pursuing justice. The guilty plea of Rementilla strengthens the case against the mastermind, and with the pending repatriation of Alan Dennis Sytin, we are one step closer to achieving full closure for the family of Dominic Sytin,” PBGEN Fajardo stated.

The Police Regional Office 3 remains vigilant in its efforts to track down fugitives and bring criminals to justice, sending a strong message that the law will always prevail. Further updates on the repatriation and legal proceedings of Alan Dennis Sytin will be provided as developments unfold. (UnliNews Online)
