CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), under the leadership of Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo, showcased exemplary law enforcement with the swift arrest of two suspects linked to a multiple murder case in Nueva Ecija.
According to Col. Ferdinand Germino, Provincial Director, Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office, acting on intelligence and relentless pursuit, personnel from San Leonardo Municipal Police Station successfully apprehended the first suspect, alias “Joey,” a 38-year-old wild duck raiser from Barangay Mallorca, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija. He was intercepted at around 5:40 p.m. on March 26, 2025, in Barangay San Joseph, Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija.
Confiscated from his possession were a caliber .45 pistol with a loaded magazine and a hand grenade, both concealed inside a fixed belt bag.
Further intensified operations led to the arrest of his elder brother, alias “Roger,” a 51-year-old farmer, at around 10:50 PM in Sitio Riles, Barangay Mallorca, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija.
Both suspects were identified as key figures in a brutal shooting incident that occurred earlier that day, around 1:00 PM, in Barangay Mallorca, San Leonardo, which resulted in multiple fatalities.
While the swift arrests mark a critical breakthrough in the case, PRO3 remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring that all individuals involved are held accountable. A comprehensive investigation is underway to identify any remaining accomplices and prevent further threats to public safety.
Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo commended the tireless efforts of the operating units, stating: “This swift and coordinated response is a testament to PRO3’s commitment to delivering justice without delay. We will not rest until every individual responsible for this heinous crime is brought before the law.”
