CAMP OLIVAS,Pampanga — In line with its intensified campaign against illegal drugs, Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) arrested two drug personalities and confiscated over P822,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Capas, Tarlac, even amid the solemn observance of Holy Week.
The operation, conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Capas Municipal Police Station under the Tarlac Police Provincial Office, took place at around 7 a.m. on Tuesday (April 15) in Barangay Aranguren, Capas, Tarlac.
The suspects were identified as “Joeffet,” a resident of Brgy. Aranguren, Capas, Tarlac, and “Jov,” of Brgy. Ninoy Aquino, Marisol, Angeles City.
Seized during the operation were approximately 120.89 grams of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P822,052.00. Of the total quantity, 50.53 grams were sold to undercover operatives in exchange for P80,000 in marked money—composed of three genuine P1,000 bills and 77 pieces of boodle money. The remaining 70.36 grams, along with the marked money, were recovered from the suspects’ possession.
All confiscated items, along with the arrested individuals, were brought to Capas MPS for proper documentation and the filing of appropriate charges.
PRO3 Regional Director, Brig. Gen. Jean S. Fajardo, commended the operatives for their unwavering dedication, stating:
“Even during the Holy Week, our commitment to eradicating illegal drugs does not falter. Our operatives remain steadfast in their duty to ensure the safety of our communities. Let this serve as a stern warning to those involved in the illegal drug trade—your days are numbered.”
