PRO3 30-day campaign vs criminality yields 2,212 wanted persons, nearly P11M worth of illegal drugs

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Central Luzon cops’ intensified anti-criminality operations for the month of April 2023 resulted in the arrest of 2,212 individuals and seizure of P10,894,904.80 of illegal drugs along with P560,456.00 cash bets across the region.

PRO3 Director Brig. Gen, Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., said that 711 persons were arrested during anti-illegal drug operations conducted regionwide while 106 most wanted individuals and 629 other wanted persons for various crimes were put behind bars.

Hidalgo also said that 766 persons were arrested for illegal gambling.

Meanwhile, the regional director stated that 24 former officers and members of communist terrorist groups (CTGs) have surrendered to Philippine National Police and local government authorities in Central Luzon.

“The surrenderers also turned-in 22 Firearms and 21 explosives. Moreover, 186 supporters denounced the CPP-NPA,” Hidalgo said.

He added these recent accomplishments, particularly in the arrest of fugitives, people involved in illegal drugs, terrorism, and street crimes were the results of the strong support of all local chief executives in the anti-criminality and anti-insurgency campaigns of PNP-PRO3, together with the Armed Forces of the Philippines and members of the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.
