ANGELES CITY — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Angeles City Police Office (ACPO), led by PCol. Joselito Villarosa carried out an anti-illegal drugs operation that led to the confiscation of nearly 100 kilos of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), valued at approximately P686 million.
The drug bust took place on Wednesday (May 14), in Barangay Sto. Domingo.
Arrested during the operation were alias “Wang” Chinese National, resident of Clark, Pampanga and alias “Shania” resident of San Sebastian, Tarlac City.

The suspects were apprehended during the culmination of a meticulously planned buy-bust operation. The confiscated illegal drugs are currently undergoing inventory, while the suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin visited the scene of the operation, where PCol. Villarosa presented the arrested drug courier and the seized illegal drugs to him.
“This operation sends a clear message: illegal drugs have no place in our city and we will continue our efforts until every barangay is safe, drug-free, and well-protected.” Lazatin said.
The city government remains committed to strengthening its anti-drug initiatives, in line with Mayor Lazatin’s eight-point agenda aimed at achieving a drug-free Angeles City. (UnliNews Online)
