CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The provincial government of Pampanga, under the leadership of Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) extended heartfelt gratitude and recognition to Kapampangan senior citizens aged 95 and above on Monday (June 23) at the Council of Panlalawigan Building, Capitol Compound.
Vice Governor Pineda led the distribution of P100,000 “One-Time Cash Incentive” to sixteen (16) beneficiaries. She was accompanied by Pampanga Board Members Fritzie David-Dizon and Cherry Manalo along with PSWDO Head Fe Manarang during the ceremony.
The incentive that was granted reached a total amount of P1,600,000 in recognition of the significant contribution of the elderly in shaping the province and society in accordance with the provision of Provincial Ordinance No. 683 or the “Centenarian Act.”
This program is part of the provincial government’s ongoing efforts to recognize and value the contributions of our senior citizens, particularly those from the oldest sector of the population. (UnliNews Online)
