CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) personnel carried out disaster response operations as Typhoon Paolo brought heavy rains and severe flooding in Central Luzon.
Floodwaters submerged portions of Aurora, Bataan,Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales , forcing residents in low-lying areas to evacuate. Despite the pouring rain and rising waters, teams moved quickly to bring families to safety, carrying children, elderly, and vulnerable residents out of danger.
Regional Director P/Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. lauded the readiness and commitment of his personnel:
“Our PRO3 personnel are well-trained for disaster response and always ready to serve and protect, especially during these critical times. Sa gitna ng baha at malakas na ulan, nananatili silang matatag sa tungkulin ng paglilingkod at pagsagip,” RD Peñones Jr said.
He further stressed that these efforts are in line with the directives of Acting Chief PNP P/Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., to implement Risk Management Plans at all levels.
As of reporting, hundreds of residents have been evacuated with ongoing operations in heavily affected communities. PRO3 assured the public that its personnel remain on the ground, committed to safeguarding lives and ensuring order amid the floods and rain. (UnliNews Online)
