CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Despite the continuous flow of travelers and visitors this Undas season, Central Luzon remains calm and orderly as police forces across the region work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of the public.
For several days now, the men and women of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) have been standing in full force — visible across highways, terminals, cemeteries, and churches — guiding motorists, securing routes, and assisting families paying tribute to their dearly departed. Their dedication continues to exemplify the essence of Serbisyong Tapat at Nararamdaman through disciplined, compassionate, and responsive service.
This ongoing operational success is anchored on the Focused Agenda of Acting Chief, PNP /Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly on Enhanced Managing Police Operations and Strengthened Community Partnership, which emphasize preparedness, collaboration, and accountability in every aspect of police service.
Under the hands-on leadership of P/Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., Regional Director of PRO3, more than 3,000 police personnel have been deployed across the region as Road Safety Marshals and are currently assigned to Police Assistance Desks and Police Hubs strategically positioned along major road networks such as NLEX, SCTEX, and TPLEX. Red Teams and Area Supervisors continue to conduct surprise inspections to ensure operational discipline, alertness, and immediate response readiness.
P/Brig. Gen. Peñones Jr., has expressed his gratitude to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Local Government Units (LGUs), Barangay Officials, Traffic Management Groups, Volunteer Organizations, and Force Multipliers who are working side by side with the PNP — reinforcing the spirit of Bayanihan in maintaining peace and public order throughout Central Luzon.
“Peace and order are shared responsibilities. Our continuing success this Undas reflects the unity, professionalism, and dedication of every stakeholder in Central Luzon,” said P/BGen. Peñones Jr.
He also assured the public that PRO3 personnel will remain deployed and on heightened alert status until November 5, 2025, to assist travelers returning from their provinces and to sustain the safety of motorists and commuters along major thoroughfares and areas of public convergence.
This sustained effort reaffirms PRO3’s commitment to uphold the PNP’s guiding principle — “Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism.” (UnliNews Online)
