CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — More than 1,000 security personnel have been deployed to secure the venue of the 33rd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree in Central Luzon from December 14 to 21, 2025, as authorities implement heightened security measures for the duration of the international youth gathering.
The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) reported that a total of 1,025 security personnel have been mobilized under a unified security plan. This includes more than 800 personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) complemented by personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and force multipliers from partner agencies and local stakeholders.
The deployment covers venue security, traffic management, crowd control, emergency response, fire safety, and other public-safety functions to ensure the orderly and peaceful conduct of the event.
P/Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., Regional Director of PRO3, said the comprehensive security coverage reflects the region’s preparedness to host a major international event and highlights the strong coordination among law-enforcement and support agencies.
He added that the security operations are being carried out in line with the PNP Focused Agenda under the leadership of Acting Chief, PNP P/Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., and anchored on the 3Ps of PRO3—Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism.
Authorities assured the public that security forces will remain on heightened alert throughout the conduct of the 33rd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree, with continuous monitoring and quick-response teams in place from December 14 to 21 to ensure the safety of all participants, organizers, and stakeholders.
