CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has activated its security and public safety measures as Central Luzon enters the peak of the holiday season, with nearly 6,000 Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel deployed across key areas under LIGTAS PASKUHAN 2025 to ensure public safety and order.
PRO3 Regional Director P/ BRig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. has directed all City and Provincial Directors to sustain police-focused operations and heightened vigilance in line with the PNP Focused Agenda of Acting Chief, PNP P/Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations.
Beginning December 16, police personnel are strategically deployed at Police Assistance Desks (PADs), places of worship, major thoroughfares, transport hubs, commercial areas, and tourist destinations. Additional deployments will be implemented on December 24 and 31 in designated community fireworks display and firecracker zone areas. The security coverage is reinforced by more than 500 force multipliers, composed of augmented troops from concerned units and advocacy groups, reflecting strong inter-agency coordination and community partnership.
PRO3 has also intensified its anti-criminality information drive in barangays and business districts, complemented by the deployment of Motorist Assistance Hubs with Route Safety Marshals along major highways and secondary roads. These measures will remain in effect until January 6, 2026.
“Our goal is simple: a safe, orderly, and joyful holiday season for every Central Luzon resident,” PBGEN Peñones Jr. said, reaffirming PRO3’s commitment to Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism. (UnliNews Online)
