CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — As part of the nationwide Oplan Ingat Paputok campaign with the theme “Buhay ay Pahalagahan! Tangkilin Ligal na Pailaw at Paputok Lamang, Upang Disgraya’y Maiwasan,” preparatory activities for the Pyrotechnics Regulatory Board (PRB) annual inspection and press briefing were conducted recently in Bocaue.
An ocular inspection, walk-through, and coordination meeting were carried out at the Romero Compound and Santiago Compound in Barangay Turo, Bocaue, in preparation for the upcoming PRB Annual Inspection to be led by Governor Daniel R. Fernando, together with Acting Chief, Philippine National Police (PNP), PLTGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr.
The preparatory activity was led by Atty. Jayric L. Amil, Department Head of the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) and Head of the PRB Secretariat, alongside PLTCOL Joel M. Usman, Chief of the Police Operations Management Unit (POMU), and Ms. Hanna Allysa Thomas of the Provincial Public Affairs Office (PPAO).
The upcoming inspection will cover designated fireworks, firecrackers, and pyrotechnic stalls and zones in Bocaue, a recognized hub for pyrotechnics, to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards and to promote the responsible and legal use of fireworks in the interest of public safety.
This activity underscores the continued coordination among national and local government agencies to prevent firecracker-related incidents and to protect lives and communities during the holiday season. ( UnliNews Online)
