High-value drug suspect arrested, 1.8-M shabu seized in Nueva Ecija

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – A high-value drug suspect was collared and more than P1.8 million worth of shabu was seized during a buy-bust operation conducted in Brgy. Calipahan, Talavera, Nueva Ecija on Saturday morning (Dec. 20).

Based on a police report, operatives of the Special Drug Enforcement Team of Talavera MPS, with support from the Police Intelligence Unit and PPDEU of Nueva Ecija, carried out the operation after intelligence validation and coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

The suspect was caught selling suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer.

Authorities recovered a total of around 270 grams of suspected shabu, with a standard drug price of P1,836,000.00, along with the marked money used during the operation.

The suspect and seized evidence were brought to Talavera MPS for proper documentation and filing of charges.

PRO3 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. said the arrest highlights the Region’s continued focus on targeting high-value drug personalities.

“Our operating units remain committed to going after those who pose serious threats to our communities. This accomplishment reflects our sustained efforts under the PNP Focused Agenda of our Acting Chief PNP, Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr,” RD Peñones Jr said.

The operation reinforces PRO3’s commitment to the PNP Focused Agenda and the 3Ps—Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism, as it continues to strengthen public safety across Central Luzon. (UnliNews Online)
