CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — A drug buy-bust operation conducted in Talavera, Nueva Ecija on Wednesday early morning (Dec. 31) resulted in the arrest of a high-value individual (HVI), identified as a former municipal mayor of Sto. Domingo also in Nueva Ecija, and the seizure of illegal drugs valued at more than P476,000.
The operating team successfully apprehended the suspect and confiscated 6 heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 70 grams, along with the marked buy-bust money used during the operation.
PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), said the arrest underscores the Region’s sustained, intelligence-driven campaign against illegal drugs, emphasizing that police operations remain firm, lawful, and consistently focused on protecting communities.
“Hindi kami titigil sa pagbuwag sa mga grupong naglalagay sa panganib ng ating komunidad. Ang bawat operasyon ay hakbang para masigurong ligtas ang mamamayan,” PBGEN Peñones said.
This operational accomplishment supports the PNP Focused Agenda of Acting Chief, PNP PLTGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr.—particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations—and reinforces PRO3’s 3Ps: Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism.
