CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) recorded another significant gain in its campaign against illegal drugs following the arrest of two high-value individuals and the confiscation of more than P3.25 million worth of suspected shabu in separate anti-drug operations in Olongapo City on Friday (Jan. 9) and Saturday (Jan 10).
Based on the report, at around 5:50 a.m. on Saturday, operatives of the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (CPDEU), together with the Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU) of the Olongapo City Police Office, Regional Intelligence Division (RID) PRO3, and Police Station 1, arrested “Bash,”a high-value individual, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay West Bajac-bajac.
Seized from the suspect were six plastic packs containing 400 grams of suspected shabu, with a standard drug price of P2,720,000.00 along with marked and boodle money.
In a separate operation at around 10:05 p.m. on Friday, joint operatives of CPDEU, CIU OCPO, and RID PRO3 arrested ‘Kevin,” also listed as a high-value individual, in Barangay Sta. Rita and confiscated 78 grams of suspected shabu valued at P530,400.00 along with buy-bust money.
PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr., Regional Director of PRO3, said the successful operations highlight the Region’s sustained, intelligence-driven approach against illegal drugs.
“These accomplishments reflect the commitment of our police units to conduct focused, lawful, and coordinated operations. We remain firm in preventing illegal drugs from destroying lives and communities, while ensuring that all police actions adhere strictly to due process and professionalism,” he added.
The arrests support the PNP Focused Agenda of Acting Chief PNP, PLTGEN Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations and reinforce PRO3’s continuing efforts to strengthen community safety through disciplined and accountable law enforcement. (UnliNews Online)
