CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Two newly identified High-Value Individuals (HVIs) were arrested and more or less 490 grams of suspected “Kush” high-grade marijuana and 1 kilogram of suspected marijuana were confiscated during an anti-illegal drug operation conducted in Olongapo City.
At about 3:35 a.m on Tuesday ( Feb. 10), a buy-bust operation was conducted along Purok 6, Limbas Street, Barangay New Cabalan, Olongapo City by personnel of the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (CPDEU) together with the Police Station 4 – Station Drug Enforcement Unit (PS4 SDEU).
As a result of the operation, 2 newly identified HVIs, were placed under arrest. Confiscated during the operation were 7 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected “Kush” high-grade marijuana weighing 490 grams with a standard drug price of P735,000, and onekilogram of suspected marijuana worth P120,000 including P3,000.00 marked buy-bust money.
PRO3 Regional Director P/Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. stated that the accomplishment reflects the continued implementation of intelligence-driven operations against illegal drugs.
“The successful conduct of this operation highlights the sustained efforts being undertaken to prevent illegal drugs from reaching our communities. Anti-illegal drug operations will continue to be intensified in line with the PNP Focused Agenda of our Chief PNP, P/Gen. Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr and our 3Ps — Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism,” Peñones said.
