SAN ISIDRO, Nueva Ecija (PIA) — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Nueva Ecija provided business management guidance to a women-led association in San Isidro town to help sustain and grow its sewing enterprise.
This took place during the agency’s recent visit to the GK Building in the said town, where it met with officers and members of the Samahan ng Nagkakaisang Kababaihan Tungo sa Agrikulturang Pangkabuhayan (SIKAP) Association.
The association received 10 sewing machines in 2024 under the Shared Service Facility program to boost productivity and expand livelihood opportunities for its members.
To guide their operations, DTI OIC-Provincial Director Gerardo Maglalang advised the group on sound business management practices, particularly in financial management and marketing strategies.
He also underscored proper operation and regular maintenance of the SSF equipment to ensure sustainability and maximize project benefits.
The visit forms part of DTI Nueva Ecija’s continuing efforts to empower women-led organizations and community-based enterprises through targeted capacity building, improved production facilities, and market-oriented interventions. (Maria Asumpta Estefanie C. Reyes)
