Under RD Mendez, PRO3 records 14.95% drop in focus crimes

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) recorded a 14.95% decrease in focus crimes, from 214 cases to 182 cases, during the comparative period of February 1-23, 2026 to February 24-March 18, 2026, reflecting intensified police operations and strengthened peace and order efforts across Central Luzon.

P/Brig. Gen. Jess B Mendez, Regional Director of PRO3, attributed the decline to sustained police visibility, proactive operations, and closer coordination with communities and stakeholders.

“This positive development reflects our firm commitment to proactive policing and strong community partnership. We will sustain and further strengthen our efforts to ensure safer communities across Central Luzon,” P/Brig. Gen. Mendez said.

The Regional Director noted that notable reductions were observed across several focus crime categories, including murder, homicide, physical injury, rape, robbery, theft, and carnapping, indicating improved operational effectiveness on the ground.

At the same time, PRO3 continues to closely monitor emerging trends and has implemented focused interventions to address areas requiring attention.

Anchored on the PNP Focused Agenda of Chief PNP, P/Gen. Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr, PRO3 remains committed to strengthening intelligence-driven operations, enhancing police presence, and deepening community engagement.

With the guiding principle of “Pulis Central Luzon: Nagbibigay ng Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman,” PRO3 continues to deliver responsive and reliable police service for the safety and security of the public. (UnliNews Online)
