Over 2 million worth of katamine, seized from male claimant

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Another male claimant was arrested for claiming 424 grams of ketamine worth P2,120,000.00 following a controlled delivery operation at Kasikatan St., Corner Kaginhawaan St., Barangay Mangahan, Pasig City recently.

The apprehended suspect was identified as Danilo L. De Guzman alias John Vincent Cruz, 23 years old, resident of #953 R PAPA St. Sampaloc, Manila City.

Seized illegal substances originated from Poland and arrived at the Port of Clark last May 14, 2023.

“The parcel containing illegal drugs was declared as Rose Candle. Series of tests indicated the presence of illegal drugs that prompted us in launching controlled delivery operation “, said the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) team leader.

Ketamine is a dangerous drug classified as a hallucinogen. It can sedate, incapacitate, and can cause short-term memory loss.

The successful operation was conducted by operatives led by PDEA Central Luzon, PDEA Clark Airport Interdiction Unit, and Bureau of Customs Port of Clark

A charge for violation of Section 4 (importation of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 will be filed against the arrested claimant. (UnliNews Online)
