CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Four individuals were arrested while illegal cigarettes and dangerous drugs were confiscated in separate police operations conducted in Nueva Ecija and Bataan on Friday (March 27) and Saturday (March 28).
In Nueva Ecija, three individuals were apprehended by personnel of Cuyapo Municipal Police Station during a mobile patrol and OPLAN SITA at around 12:05 1.m. on Saturday, along Cuyapo–Talugtug Road in Barangay Columbitin, Cuyapo.
Police officers noticed several boxes of cigarettes in plain view inside a parked vehicle. Upon verification, the driver failed to present any legal documents for the transport of the items, prompting the arrest.

Authorities confiscated 30 master cases of modern light cigarettes with an estimated street value of P690,000. The arrested individuals are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 8293 (Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines) and Republic Act 9211 (Anti-Tobacco Regulation Act of 2003).
Meanwhile, in Bataan, a high-value individual was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted at around 9:45 p.m. on March 27, 2026, in Barangay Doña, Orani.
Joint operatives from Orani MPS Drug Enforcement Unit, Bataan Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and PDEA Bataan conducted the operation, which resulted in the arrest of the suspect after selling a sachet of suspected shabu.

Recovered from the suspect were around 54 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P367,200.00 along with marked money and other drug paraphernalia. Inventory and marking of evidence were conducted on-site in the presence of required witnesses, in compliance with existing procedures.
