CAMP. Gen. Mariano N. Llarena, Cabanatuan City — Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office sustained its anti-illegal drug operations across the province, resulting in the arrest of two High-Value Individuals (HVIs), the confiscation of P832,388 worth of shabu, and the arrest of five (5) other suspects on Thursday (May 28).
Operatives of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Cabanatuan City PS conducted a buy-bust operation in Purok Centerville, Brgy. D.S. Garcia, Cabanatuan City, which led to the arrest of a male drug suspect and his female companion. Authorities seized 106.2 grams of shabu with a DDB value of P722,160.
Meanwhile, separate anti-drug operations conducted by the San Jose City PS (1), Jaen MPS (2), and Gapan City (2) resulted in the arrest of five (5) additional suspects. Confiscated from them were 16.2 grams of shabu valued at P110,228.
The arrested suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
P/Col. Ritchie R. Claravall , Provincial Director, stated, “We will ensure that these remorseless individuals face the full consequences of the law. There is no place in society for criminals who destroy the future of our youth and families. Let this serve as a strong warning that crime does not pay, and those who engage in illegal activities will be relentlessly pursued and brought to justice.”
He added that the operation aligns with the directive of P/Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez, Regional Director, PRO3, to intensify the arrest of High-Value Individuals (HVIs) across the region in support of the PNP Focused Agenda, “Bagong PNP Para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.” (UnliNews Online)
