CAMP ALEJO S. SANTOS, Bulacan — Member of the notorious Zapata Robbery and Drug Criminal Group, and 14 drug suspects were arrested by Bulacan police on Thursday (June 1).
Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan provincial director said on Friday (June 2) during an interview with local media that Hagonoy police, Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), and the Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU 3) conducted a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Sta. Monica, Hagonoy, Bulacan.
Anti-illegal drug operatives arrested Christian Javier, a known member of the Zapata Robbery and Drug Criminal Group operating in the province of Bulacan.
Arnedo said 10 pieces of small plastic sachets of marijuana and marked money were seized to the suspects.
In addition, anti-drug operatives of the City of San Jose del Monte arrested Melvin Marzan in Sapang Lamig, Brgy Minuyan Proper after a consummated drug trade.
According to Arnedo, an estimated total of P122,400 worth of suspected shabu, weighing about eighteen grams, and marked money were confiscated.
Similarly, ten individuals involved in drugs during an ongoing “pot session” were arrested by operatives of Marilao police in Papa Compound, Barangay Patubig, Marilao. Three sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia were confiscated during the operation.
Moreover, the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Bocaue, Pandi, and Sta. Maria police arrested three more drug suspects identified as Ejay Besas of Lolomboy, Bocaue, Reynaldo Gomez Jr. of Mapulang Lupa, Pandi; and Vida Leo Viernes of FVR, Norzagaray.
A total of eleven sachets of suspected shabu and marked money were confiscated, including a Cal. 38 revolver with two rounds of ammo found in the possession of @Kulot.
“The Bulacan PNP remains resolute in its mission to combat the scourge of illegal drugs. These crucial operations are conducted under the guidance and directives of PRO 3 Director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr,” Arnedo said.
