CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Cabanatuan City Police have successfully arrested a woman accused of perpetrating a large-scale estafa scheme amounting to approximately P27,000,000 in Nueva Ecija on Thursday (Aug. 3).
The suspect, identified as Jerrymie Gentio, also known as Emeng, a 26-year-old female and online seller, allegedly lured seven victims from Nueva Ecija with the promise of a 10% interest per day on their investments. Regrettably, the promised returns never materialized, leaving the victims in a state of financial distress.
Further investigations into the matter have revealed that 26 additional victims have come forward, claiming to have also become fallen victims to the same fraudulent scheme orchestrated by Emeng.

As the case gains momentum, the Cabanatuan City Police encourages any other potential victims to come forward and cooperate with the ongoing investigation. Prompt action and collaboration from the affected parties will greatly aid in ensuring that justice is served and that all victims receive the appropriate restitution.
The suspect is currently in custody at Cabanatuan City Police Station for proper disposition and to face the legal consequences of her alleged actions.
“We assure the public that your police are committed to protecting the community from such fraudulent activities and urge everyone to remain vigilant in dealing with investment opportunities. It is vital to verify the legitimacy of investment ventures and to report any suspicious activities promptly to your police,” Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., PRO3 regional director said.
