Hidalgo leads opening of PRO3 Shoot for a Cause, firing proficiency

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — PRO3 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. led the start of the PRO3 Shoot for a Cause and Firing Proficiency on Thursday (April 11) at the PRO3 Firing Range in Camp Olivas here.

Lasting four days until Sunday, the event drew enthusiastic participation from the PRO3 command group, regional staff, and firearm enthusiasts. Organized by the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 (RMFB3) under Col. Jay C. Dimandal’s supervision, it aimed to build community and improve shooting skills.

Featuring six challenging stages with handguns, pistol carbine caliber, and mini rifles, the event welcomed both PNP personnel and civilians passionate about shooting.

During his welcome remarks, Dimandal shared, “As we wake up in the morning, we are given two gifts by our Lord – choice and chance. Choice to do good and chance to have the opportunity to change our lives, not only for ourselves but also for others.”

Hidalgo emphasized that participating in fun shoot activities like this isn’t just a command responsibility but an individual one. It’s essential for all PNP personnel to engage in such activities, aligning with our professional duties. While we find enjoyment in these events, we’re also contributing to the welfare of others.
