Road conditions in Bulacan

CITY OF MALOLOS — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Bulacan 1st District Engineering Office (DEO) has issued an update on road conditions as of 1 p.m. Wednesday (July 24) in response to heavy rainfall from the enhanced southwest monsoon and Typhoon Carina.

Impassable Areas:

Flooding with a depth of 0.6 meters has rendered the section of Bigaa-Plaridel Road from K0030+900 to K0033+000, affecting Panginay, Balagtas, and Matungao, Bulakan impassable.

Limited Access Areas:

  • Bigaa-Plaridel Road (K0033+300 to K0033+900) in Matungao, Bulakan: Flooding ranges from 0.1 to 0.4 meters.
  • Bigaa-Plaridel Road (K0036+600 to K0036+800) in San Nicolas, Bulakan: Flooding ranges from 0.3 to 0.4 meters.
  • Manila North Road (K0037+(-200) to K0037+(-350)) in Brgy. Tikay, City of Malolos: Flooding at 0.3 meters.

Passable but Flooded Areas:

  • Manila North Road (K0033+150) in Poblacion, Guiguinto: 0.1 meters of flooding.
  • Manila North Road (K0030+200) in Wawa, Balagtas: 0.1 meters of flooding.
  • Manila North Road (K0029+200) in San Juan, Balagtas: 0.1 meters of flooding.
  • Bigaa-Plaridel Road (K0045+900 to K0046+800) in Guinhawa, Malolos: 0.2 meters of flooding.
  • Bigaa-Plaridel Road (K0047+200 to K0047+350) and (K0047+800 to K0048+300) in Mohon, City of Malolos: 0.2 meters of flooding.

National roads and bridges unaffected by flooding remain open to all types of vehicles, with moderate traffic flow observed, while maintenance crews actively address emerging issues and equipment remains on standby for immediate deployment. (UnliNews Online)
