QUEZON CITY — A father and son, believed to be involved in the bulk distribution of meth (shabu) in Quezon City and nearby towns of Bulacan, were arrested during a drug entrapment operation in Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City on Tuesday (Oct. 28).
The operation was consummated at around 2:39 p.m., led to the confiscation of approximately P340,000.00 worth of shabu.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bulacan Provincial Office identified the arrested suspects alias Tatay, 47 years old, and alias Jun-Jun, 29 years old.
Authorities confiscated more or less 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000.00, along with marked money used by the undercover PDEA agent.
In a separate drug sting in Nueva Ecija, at around 2:50 p.m., three individuals were arrested inside a makeshift drug den leading to the confiscation of some Php 88,400.00 worth of shabu and assorted paraphernalia.
PDEA Nueva Ecija identified the arrested suspects as alias Gie, male, 46 years old; alias Gar, male 20 years old; and alias Romi, male, 30 years old
Confiscated illegal drugs from both drug operations will be submitted to the PDEA-3 laboratory for forensic analysis and confirmation. The arressted suspects will face appropriate charges under Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (UnliNews Online)
