Bulacan tops local source revenue collection among 82 provinces

CITY OF MALOLOS — The Province of Bulacan headed by Governor Daniel R. Fernando emerged as Top 1 in Local Source Revenue Collections for Fiscal Year 2024 after garnering P3,393,740,000, topping all 82 Philippine provinces.

In addition, the province also received the Top 3 in Ratio of Local Source Revenues to Total Current Operating Income, and Top 9 in Yearly Growth of Local Source Revenues during the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) 38th Founding Anniversary and Stakeholders’ Recognition held at SMX Convention Center Aura in Taguig City.

BLGF Executive Director Consolacion Q. Agcaoili said that the recognitions are a testament to the LGUs pursuit in generating sufficient income to deliver essential goods and services to their constituents.

“In today’s rapidly evolving landscape, LGUs face increasing demands and expectations from their constituents making their role more challenging yet more critical than ever. This moment, we commend their tireless effort and celebrate their achievements with their local treasurers and assessors,” Agcaoili said.

Meanwhile, Fernando offered the recognitions to the Bulakenyos, and thanked the employees who worked tirelessly to achieve such honor.

“Gagawin po naming inspirasyon itong mga award na ito. Lalo po kaming magsisikap sa aming pagseserbisyo. Lalo po naming itataas ang antas ng aming pagseserbisyo sa inyo mga minamahal naming mga Bulakenyo,” the governor said.

Together with Fernando in receiving the awards were Provincial Treasurer Atty. Maria Teresa L. Camacho, Assistant Treasurer Engr. Miriam T. San Diego, and Provincial Assessor Arch. Rodello C. Robles. (UnliNews Online)
