2 most wanted fugitives in Central Luzon fall in separate ops

Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) arrested two high-profile fugitives in separate operations—one tagged in the killing of a barangay captain in Nueva Ecija and another listed as the Top 5 Most Wanted Person (Provincial Level) in Bulacan.

Police first reported the arrest of “JP,” 25, the primary suspect in the July 13, 2025 shooting of Barangay Chairman Cesar Asuncion of San Isidro, Laur. He was tracked down on November 28, 2025 in Brgy. Bagting, Gabaldon by the Gabaldon MPS Tracker Team through a no-bail warrant for Murder. A caliber .45 pistol, magazine, and ten rounds of ammunition were seized, leading to an added charge for Violation of RA 10591.

In Bulacan, police also arrested “Mark,” 28, the Top 5 Most Wanted Person (Provincial Level). Operatives of Santa Maria MPS served warrants against him on December 1, 2025 in Brgy. Caypombo for Statutory Rape (no bail) and Acts of Lasciviousness with ₱200,000 bail, as ordered by the Family Court in Santa Maria.

PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. commended the units involved.

“These arrests are a testament to our commitment to protect our communities and ensure that justice swiftly reaches victims and their families. Hinding-hindi natin hahayaan ang sinuman na guluhin ang kapayapaan ng ating mga barangay,” he said.

He added that PRO3 will continue to intensify operations in line with the PNP Focused Agenda and the 3Ps—Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism—delivering Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman. (Unlinews)
