Pandi boosts solid waste management with 11 new haulers

PANDI, Bulacan — To further strengthen the solid waste management efforts, the Local Government Unit of Pandi inaugurated 11 newly procured Tri-Wheeled Solid Waste Haulers funded through the FY 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF).

The inauguration was led by Mayor Enrico A. Roque and Department of Local Government (DILG) Regional Director Araceli A. San Jose, CESO III.

Also present during the ceremony were Provincial Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, CESO V, Cluster Heads LGOO VII Lydia M. Baltazar and LGOO VII Judith B. Romero, MLGOO Jhea M. Gregorio, Sangguniang Bayan and Barangay Members, and LGU functionaries.

“The project aims to enhance waste collection efficiency at the barangay level, particularly in narrow and hard-to-reach areas,” Mayor Roque said.

Through these haulers, the LGU seeks to promote proper waste segregation, ensure timely waste collection, and contribute to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable community. (With a report from Allan Casipit)
