CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — The two suspects in the killing of a 40-year-old delivery rider in Brgy. Turo, Bocaue, Bulacan on Tuesday (May 19) were arrested following an immediate follow-up operation launched after the violent incident.
Investigation showed that the victim, a resident of Binang 1st, Bocaue, Bulacan, was delivering a parcel when he was suddenly attacked by one of the suspects who stabbed him from behind. The victim attempted to escape but was struck again with a bladed weapon, causing him to fall to the ground. While already defenseless, the second suspect allegedly fired several shots, hitting the victim multiple times, resulting in his instantaneous death at the scene.
Personnel of the Bocaue Municipal Police Station conducted a follow-up operation that resulted in the arrest of the two suspects still within the area shortly after the incident. Recovered from their possession were a 9mm Parabellum pistol (FEG-Budapest, Made in Hungary) with serial number 111264, four live ammunition, two magazines, five spent cartridge cases, and one knife used in the attack.
The PNP emphasized that the immediate resolution of the case reflects its strong commitment to public safety, accountability, and sustained efforts to ensure that perpetrators of violent crimes are brought to justice without delay.
P/Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said: “May pamilyang nagdurusa sa bawat buhay na nawala sa karahasan, kaya tungkulin ng pulisya na bigyang-hustisya ang biktima.”
