CAMP GEN. MARIANO N. LLANERA, Nueva Ecija — Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) arrested 16 individuals, including a High-Value Individual (HVI), and confiscated more than P669,000 worth of shabu during a series of intensified anti-criminality operations conducted on Thursday and Friday morning (May 21).
The High-Value Individual a 34-year-old female suspect, farmer, with a live-in partner and a resident of Barangay Kaingin, Bongabon, Nueva Ecija, was arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted at around 4 a.m. in the said barangay by joint operatives from the Bongabon Police Station Drug Enforcement Team (lead unit) and the 3rd Maneuver Platoon, Bongabon Patrol Base, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), NEPPO, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Confiscated from the suspect was 51.30 grams of shabu with a Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P348,840.
Meanwhile, 15 other drug suspects were apprehended in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted by Gapan (5), Talavera (1), Palayan City (1), Sto. Domingo (1), Cabanatuan City (1), Zaragoza (1), Cuyapo (1), Cabiao (1), and Science City of Muñoz Police Stations (3).
During said operations, operatives seized 47.16grams of shabu with a DDB value of P320,688.
Moreover, Science City of Muñoz also confiscated 50 reams of smuggled cigarettes amounting P51,000, one caliber .38 firearm with 3 live ammunition from the arrested suspects.
Criminal charges for violations of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002; Republic Act No. 10863, or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act; and Republic Act No. 10591, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act are now being prepared against the arrested suspects.
