SAN MIGUEL, Bulacan — A total of 5,335 beneficiaries in San Miguel town received rice assistance under the Local Government Support Fund–Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU) Rice Distribution Program on Monday (Sept. 7).
The distribution were led by Sec. Benhur Abalos, Secretary for the Office of the Cabinet Secretary, Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando, Vice Governor Alex C. Castro and San Miguel Mayor Bong Alvarez in coordination with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), as part of efforts to help ease the daily financial burden of families in need.
Rice assistance was distributed at five designated venues across the municipality—Balite Covered Court, Batasan New Covered Court, Pulong Bayabas Covered Court, San Juan Covered Court, and Sta. Rita Covered Court.
The program underscores the continuing partnership among the national government, the Provincial Government of Bulacan, and local government units in bringing assistance directly to communities and responding to the basic needs of Bulakenyos.
Officials said such initiatives remain vital in providing immediate support to beneficiaries amid rising household expenses and other economic challenges. (UnliNews Online)
